laborartdepot was a residency opportunity at kulturort dortmund alongside resident artist steffen mischke and the pupils of anne-frank gesamtschule.
the week-long project was rooted in visual dialogues, responding conceptually to a photographs taken by the pupils and transforming each artist according to their own medium.
the residency took place as an open-atelier at a popular cultural venue in dortmund. throughout the residency the artists at work were under the public gaze, located between a restaurant and a cinema at the site. the work was viewed in-process. the opportunity focused on the transformation of ideas rather than completion of a work.
the residency closed with an exhibition.
